Gretchen Allen, AuD
Growing up in East Dallas, Dr. Gretchen Allen is a Texan through and through. She attended Stephen F. Austin State University for a Bachelor of Science degree (1991), the University of North Texas for a Master of Science degree in Speech and Hearing (1994, Magna Cum Laude) and, after working as a clinical audiologist in medical office settings for several years, she further earned a Doctorate in Audiology degree from Salus University in 2010.
Dr. Allen feels strongly that being an audiologist is more than just a career—it is her calling. It is truly an honor to help people hear again, as it can literally change the quality of someone’s life as well as of those who love them. Tailoring the most precise hearing solution for each patient requires art, science, and creative problem solving. Her deep sense of caring, positivity, and cheerful personality makes her patients feel at ease throughout the hearing aid selection and fitting process.
Dr. Allen enjoys spending time with her family, running with the Dallas Running Club, cycling with the Tough Cookies, and paddling dragon boats with the Dallas United Crew PINK team. She might also be spotted around town attempting to find the best tacos in Dallas!
